"Radio host Barbara Espinosa recently informed a caller to her show (who had just referred to the President as a "guy with rabbit ears") that she prefers to call Barack Obama "a monkey," adding that "I don't believe in calling him the first black President. I voted for the white guy myself"...".* How does this compare to Bill Maher and his comments comparing the Republican party to apes? The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

To me it seemed that Bill Maher was referring to the planet of the apes... and how the apes rejected science and rational thought for religious dogma in that film. Which seems to be the direction that the republicans seem to be going...

Bill's comment is a slight against all good apes.

Then you missed the point of my post. I was talking about Barbara. Assuming Barbara tags Obama to monkeys, then how does she view the "black" conservatives so named? Aren't they part of this amorphous "party" and would she say they're monkeys, too?

Where are the "black conservatives" in all this? Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Shelby Steele, Dr. Alan Keyes, Mr. Herman Cain, Dr. Condoleeza Rice, Justice Janice Rogers Brown, Justice Clarence Thomas, and Mr. Ward Connerly? Aren't these people susceptible to being called monkeys? Why this "editing out," if you will, of what these black conservatives respond to? I'd hate to hear what Barbara says about them behind their backs.

Where do you get that assumption? It's the Republican party that want's to push science in what they think is the "Right" direction by having a politician review science funding allocation. A politician who probably has a law degree and haven't taken any science classes besides their two required classes in undergrad.

Howard Cossell was a huge supporter of black rights but when a black receiver was running the ball towards the end zone and he said,"Look at that monkey run",he caught alot of controversy. So how does she get away with this?
