Captured on Super 8 film in 1966 is some inspirational footage of Ernie Eli, a fun-loving guy practicing his dives with teammates at Paddlers Pool in Granite City, IL in 1966.
Everybody loved Ernie. He was just a great guy and a good friend to all who knew him. Ernie passed away at a fairly young age, but he is fondly remembered by many. Jim Johnson was one of Ernie's dearest friends. Jim now lives in Brisbane, Australia and asked that we post this wonderful inspirational footage. Thanks Jim!
