Motherboards with integrated graphics have been criticized and rightly so for the lack of performance and features that they offer to the consumer. After all, a gamer wanting to play the latest games will not likely enjoy a playable game play experience in some of the newest DirectX 10.0 games on an Intel GMA 4500 HD due to lack of performance on the Intel side of things, games really only play well on the GeForce 9xxx series motherboards.
On the AMD side, the choices are much more palatable with graphics on the 770G, 780G and 785G that is being released having much higher frame rate compared to the Intel side of things. This is despite the fact that the AMD CPUs tend to be a little slower in performance versus their Intel counterparts. The 785G chipset introduces DirectX 10.1 support to the integrated space, and Universal Video Decoder 2 to the AMD chipset. MSI is one of the first of the motherboard makers releasing a motherboard using this chipset and today's review is on the MSI 785G-E65 motherboard just announced this week

Intel fanboy! I think this is the best bang for the buck mobo. Intel does not have any chipset that can match this.

I agree on the chipset part. The early reviews on AMD's fusion chipset looks promising though. I can't wait when AMD unveils a chipset that can rival discrete GPU's.

Yeah I don't get intel. I was planning on building a latest, quality, affordable PC and Intel came to mind but I was surprised by the motherboard and cpu prices. I can't get a latest decent cpu that's below a 100$ and a motherboard that's within 100$. The core i3 costs more than a 100$ also the quality motherboards as well. I did find cheap motherboards but I'm planning on keeping this PC for a long time. Then I searched for AMD components and was very pleased with the pricing.

Hey!  thanks for your personal opinion on this board. by chance i got this board bc it was cheap and on sale. I have about question about memory settings.

I bought 2GB of Kingston hyperX 1600MHz Ram and this msi e65 defaults this Ram on 1333ddr (667MHz) instead of 1600MHz. Why is that? Did I do something wrong?

/please help a pc noob.
