How much did your camera cost and how long does it take to transfer a tape (DV)

@StrangeRandomChannel i got the camera from B+H in NYC. it was a packaged deal: came with the camera, wide angle lens, 10 tapes, a bag, and other stuff. I think it came out to around $2500.
and well in regards to transferring, you need to play the tape while the computer captures it. so, a 60 minute tape takes 60 minutes to capture

@OrangebearProducts i only have 1 computer, a macbook pro. I have a 2nd monitor hooked up to it. it has 2 GB of RAM. as for the camera, we shoot onto minidv tapes. each tape can shoot about 60 minutes of HD video.
