Here is my first attempt at composing music for a scene in a film, it would be great to hear your oppinion on what you think of the music, i shall probably re-mix/record it at a later date as the equipment used was pretty poor, bt id like to know what you thought of it :)

  • Yeah that was really nice, with some better sounding electronic instruments or with real instruments, it would be spot on. My only concern is that it might be a little too sickly towards the end, but thats just my taste kicking, for the scene it was great!

  • Thanks man, yeah it is a bit sickly... would want to redo the second half i think, thanks for the feedback!

  • every time I watch the OC and see this part I'm almost crying, it's so sad .. I think the music you made was really beautiful, and if I didn't know what a sound it is in the movie, I had probably begun to cry to this to.. beautiful

  • this is cool, may I ask what kind of equipment you have to record with (interface/keyboard/mixer/computer??)??

  • That sounded really nice, man. There's only one comment i'd like to make...Your main theme(or i guess motif in this sense) is very nice but instead of repeating it 4 times when summer gets in the bus, maybe repeat it only twice then alter it by changing notes, instruments, use of chords, etc. obviousley it's hard being able to create a lot of musical ideas in a :50 clip but i think if you did that it would really add more depth to the score. keep it up I can't wait to hear more!!

  • Sounding good mate. Keep up the good work :)

  • very good, who are you, what sort of music background do you come from. interested to hear what prepschool you went to because from your composition i would guess thorpe house, just a guess

  • Good job. Melody really fit in with what was going on.

  • Amazing!!! Loved it, sounded brilliant, it didn't sound bad one bit!!! amazing!! such beautiful playing!

  • Excellent, well done! I already commented once, but it doesn't appear to have come up! I didn't watch the scene (hope you are proud!!) but I listened to the music : )

    see you sundayyyyyyyyyyyyy xx
