From the README file: "lowfat is an "engine" for natural document viewing for free desktop-systems
lowfat is far from done. So do not package it or something similar. It would
imply to end-users that it is a "finished product", which it is not yet... by
far not.
So for the sake of lowfat's reputation, please do not package it yet. It's
only for developers atm."
I saw this program has being discussed in forum.beryl-project.org and then rushed to give it a try and love it so much.
Macslow is an open source program developer who owns the creation of Macslow's cairo-clock and some other fantastic apps.
I believe this is one of his new/current projects and it is still worked hard to become more stable and bug free (with more abilities, too).
I has tested it for a few hours and there are still some bugs in it and more important it consumes a LOT OF MEMORY which is the reason why the video looks kind of laggy.
Beside of the problems it is a really nice program and able to do lots of fancy stuff which I have never seen in any applications on any platforms (ya, you guys need to do some catching up, OSX & Google).
In the end, I hope you guys who want to give it a try be aware of that this program is still unstable and can break your entire system (really ^^). Since it is not even in beta, do not expect any support from the devs or anybody else. Try it , on you own risk, or wait.
My Linux box: Intel centrino 1.74 G with 1.5 Gigabyte ram and NVIDIA geforce 6200 go vcard.
Ubuntu 6.10
Such a shame MacSlow isn't doing any work on Lowfat ATM. I do hope he picks up the project again.

cool... but how does this improve/simplify interaction? I can't see to many cases where this has a real utility to the user. We'll see... But I think right now iPhoto, Picasa, or f-spot helps the user better in organizing and visualizing their photos.
