This is my Blake double toggle jaw crusher powered by 9n Ford. There is no company name on it and I don't know much about it, probably turn of the century.

I can remember my Grandad having one I'd swear was identical to this. They used to collect all the field stones into one big heap and every now and then have a crushing session. I distinctly recall being fascinated by the gentle but relentless chomp-chomp-chomp and how you could watch rough stone emerge from the bottom as chippings suitable to repair the roads and tracks.

We were allowed to feed it and, even as kids had the sense not to get caught up . . .
