It's Going To Be Okay - Season 2 Episode 5

*The next morning with Demi and Mitchell*
Mitchell: (Wakes up, turns and looks at Demi)
Demi: (Opens her eyes, and half smiles) What?
Mitchell: You feel like talking yet?
Demi: (Sighs) Not really.
Mitchell: (Upset, he gets out of the bed and starts to get dressed) Whatever.
Demi: Mitchell
Mitchell: Look, Demi. I love you, I do. But for some reason I always feel like youre keeping things from me. By now I would hope that you could at least have the decency to be honest. If you dont love me just tell me, because I dont know that I can take it anymore. Stop playing games with me (Leaves the room)
Demi: (Gets up and follows him downstairs)

*In the living room, Miley and David were sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast. Mitchell had gone into the kitchen, and a moment later Demi followed*
Demi: Please dont walk away from me after saying something like that.
Mitchell: Well what do you want me to do Demi? Weve been together three months, and weve been friends even longer. Last night was the first Ive ever heard of any of those people being a part of your life, so you kept it from me on purpose.
Demi: (Beginning to cry) Im sorry.
Mitchell: Thats all you ever seem to say. Your dictionary need a fuel up?
David: Whoa, Mitch, back it up a bit.
Mitchell: Stay out of it Henrie.
Miley: Guys
Demi: (Sighs) Mitchell, I really care about you--
Mitchell: But all that we can ever be is friends. Ive heard that one before.
Demi: No, Mitch. Thats not it. Ive just been hurt before and its hard for me to be able to trust that it wont happen again.
Mitchell: Okay, well name me one thing that Ive done in the past year that weve known each other to not prove differently.
Demi: (Looks down, not knowing what to say)
Mitchell: (Nods) Thats what I thought. Listen, Im going out for the day, so I dont expect to see you when I get home (Leaves)
Demi: (Sits down at the table next to Miley and buries her face into her hands)
Miley: (Puts her arm around her) Shh, sweetie. Its okay.
Demi: (Shakes her head) I dont know what to do anymore.
David: What do you mean?
Demi: Joe kissed me last night, and I knew at that very moment that I never stopped loving him, and I dont think I ever will. But I do really care about Mitchell and I dont want to hurt him like that. Like hes been hurt before.
Miley: Hun, I know it might seem that breaking up with him would hurt him, but I honestly think that not being honest with him is only going to hurt him more.
David: Look, Mitch is the type of guy that I dont think will have a problem understanding. If he really does love you then hell respect how you feel. But I know that whether he is your boyfriend or simply just your friend, hes going to want to be a part of your life because he cares about you too much.
Demi: I want him in my life too. I just dont think that Ill be able to love him the way I do Joe, no matter how much I want to or try to.
Miley: Listen, were meeting with the gang again today, you should come with us.
David: I think today will be better (Smiles) And you can tell Joe how you really feel.
Demi: (Half smiles) I think he knows. I just have to reassure him.
Miley: Hes wasnt going to come today, though. So you might need to rethink that.
Demi: (Nods) Ill go see him after we see everyone else. And tonight, I think its about time Im honest with Mitchell. Ill tell him everything.
David: I think thats a great idea.
Miley: (Smiles) Me too. Now lets go get ready.
Demi: (Smiles back) Thanks guys.

Good parts coming up, so I think I may stop here for now!
