My first visit to a chain of Japanese family restaurants known as Bikkuri Donkey びっくりドンキー. Pretty low prices and the food was alright.

  • @ozzy78 haha! I bet you wwere! How are things in Hokkaido???

  • Are you fluent in Japanese, or does your wife know English? I've always wanted to work abroad but then the idea of being alone without knowing anyone because of the language barrier is pretty scary. =(

  • @TSignature my Japanese isn't so good and my wife is a very fluent English speaker. At home we speak English

  • I like the decor of that restaurant! I wish you showed more of it, but maybe the other customers don't want to be videoed.

  • Nice seaside dining! ~Kurt :-)

  • That reminds me the time when I was in Germany and went to a Tex-Mex restaurant. Lots of fusion going on. :)

  • Is this in the place with the movie theater?

  • I love that old truck!

They have something similar to the one with the egg in Colombia, they call it "bistec a caballo"

  • I think your wife's dish looks better!

  • I worked at this restaurant in college, they had a gigantic "Hamburger Steak". It was really a gigantic hamburger w/o the bun. People ordered it. It was like a pound of hamburger cooked into a patty and put on a plate for like $8, you know how much ground beef you could buy and cook at home for $8, A LOT!

  • May I ask what the music in the background is? It sounds like a guitar playing, but it's kind of faint.

  • u make really awesome videos! thanks so much for sharing
