You don't have to be blood related to be family. Near, Mello, and Matt pretty much grew up together, and L was their mentor (though we don't know how involved he was with them). We like to believe that he was a part of his proteges lives.

its so sad. L meant so much to many pepole. Many pepole saw up to him. And then he is just gone...

L was the greatest, its just so sad that he dont excist...

Many people say L isn't real, but their only thinking in logic. Why can't he exist in your heart? I have always thought of him as a "real" person. He has always been inspiration for me... So yes, call me insane if you find me crying for him to come back, but to me, he is the personification of Justice. We need L in our world.

So, please, come back to us, L. Lawliet.

I know that L does not really exist , but to me he sort of does. He has been a great inspiration for me. and his death in the series was really touching, I actually cried (I never cry) but to such a great character... I will cry :(

L doesn't exist? hehe, i think he kinda does, in a way. Think of christianity. if noone believed in god, we never would have known about him and he wouldn't "exist", but the fact that we believe in him in a way, makes him real. so i think that if you believe that Ls real....then in some form...he is....maybe i need to get out more, but thats just my opinion

mello, matt & near grew up together, L was there mentor/idol...although, we dont know how involved he was with them..even if he wasnt, he KNEW of them, knew who they were..:(
