Despite their use of heavy-handed tactics, riot police in Cairo fail to push back Egyptian protesters on the Kasr al-Nil Bridge, 28/01/11.

God willing the Egyptian people will succeed in their revolution and like their brothers in Tunisia, go on to force out their tyrant 'leader' Hosni Mubarak. And finally, let them set an inspiring example to the surrounding nations facing the same problems.

  • were they praying when they went down?

  • @AndrewKassab. Yes, from 0:22 to 1:12 they were performing salah (prayer)

  • Check out one of Jon Stewart's clips on Egypt before they go...apparently protesters find tear canisters with the "made in the U.S.A" logo written all over it. WTF?! Of all places to brand your nation..they choose a tear canister..

    Go Egypt!

    - Fellow American.

  • @arzgania. Yeh there are pictures of the American-made tear cannisters all over the internet. Such a disgrace.

  • Makes me want to move to Egypt and help out. Get out of this land of the slaves, home of the cowards

  • @101andrewj. What a nice way to test a nation's bravery. Well, heavy machine guns didn't seem to intimidate the Iraqis or Afghans much so I'm guessing these would be just the same!
