Okay, I love to drive a Manual Transmission car as much as the next man. But the days of Automatic transmissions being the laughing stock, unfun, boring, inferior transmissions are OVER. We're not in the the 19th or 20th century anymore, this is the 21st century and technology has really advanced over the years. Automatics on todays cars can be just as fast and just as much fun to drive as a manual tranny. So Autos are on the same level if not better than manuals now. GET OVER YOURSELVES!

there is a reason why the Ferraris, Lambos, Aston's use "manu-matic" transmissions now...they are more efficient and the computer can "think" faster than the driver can....

@GhostMessenger52 never said that. Good for your aunt as well. A manual requires more work, can't argue with that. i take pride in driving manual cars because I feel more in touch with the vehicle. i drive a G37S 6MT. since you won't believe me I can send you pictures through email.

Wow i was always told that manual was faster and had more power but i never believed them, guess i was right.

@krocialblack Well part of your argument had to deal with the idea that an auto can be "as much fun" as a manual. That's not telling it like it is, that's your own opinion. Lazy people who can't handle a 3rd pedal are more annoying in my opinion. Haha.

@krocialblack Who cares what's faster? What's the fun in a car that can drive itself? I'd much rather be in control of my own car. All the sweeter the victory when you maul on AutoHeads in your manual. A driver can't form the same kind of bond that a manual driver can with their car. Fact.

@krocialblack on a drag strip yes, automatics have been better then manuals on a grag strip since.... there was drag racing.

autocross, rallycross, rally, road racing and daily driving a manual will always be better.

a sequential manual is better then both, only using the clutch when stopped just letting the trans slip it self right into the next gear faster then any computer or standard manual driver could do it

Not to burst any bubbles but if you call the factory they will tell you the automatic 350z is faster, do your research. I believe the old mustang 5.0 was the first to come out with an automatic faster than the Manuel which pissed off a lot off drag racers.

This is a drag race and the only shifting is up so of corse the automatic would win, but on the track with a good manual driver the manual car would win because the driver has more control and can downshift to make quick turns instead of breaking.
