@flyingphoenix113 thanks, now I'm just wondering how many channels do I need for the transmitter & the reciever
-
The foam is Dollar Tree Rediboard. It is $1 for a large sheet and comes with a paper covering on it unlike depron which is flimsy and needs carbon fiber.

This is gonna be the first RC Plane I'm going to make & I'm wondering what kind of foam you used to make it & where can I get it?
-
would a 370 brushless outrunner with a 2 cell lipo run this plane?

Wow! That Thing Really Transports Donkeys!
Thank You!

Is this made from styrofoam or is it just foam board
-
The fuse looks like a coffin!

@MikeysRC Hey Mikey, I'd like to do an analysis on this plane! Would that be okay with you? This would help you improve your design, and I will do it in my spare time!
Just need a few things:
your airfoil, wingspan, wing chord, fuselage length, tail dimensions, control surface dimensions, mass of your airplane, and powerplant specs.
would this be something you're interested in?

it looks like 10000G forces if you scale it up
two questions: Why no rudder? Also, what's with the flaperons? wouldn't you get better rolls if you put short ailerons on the tips of the wings (better roll moment)?

@ds7202 Good questions. The rudder really isn't needed at the high speeds. I'm no aeronautical engineer but over the years with trial and error I have found that an aileron most of the length of the wing gives a very high rate of roll. Esentially the whole length of the wing changes it's amouint of lift or negative lift. So the differnece between the wings = fast rolls vs. with just the wing tips. I'm not sure how all this translates to full size palnes but it works on the planes I build.

@MikeysRC I dunno really what you're aiming for here... something flashy, or something stable? I mean, your plane rolls real fast, but every time you roll your plane, you drop real fast. This is because your flaperons are not only generating more lift, but more drag as well. It's also real pitchy... you might want to increase the surface area of your elevator. Add a rudder too, and you'll be able to counteract some of your aileron adverse yaw also.
What's the aspect ratio of your wing?

@ds7202 Thanks for joining my forum. Did you use all your aircraft design skills in your "Extra credit attempt 2
" video? I could see how it realy amde a difference.

I built this plane with a little modification. I made the wings shorter, and they taper on the trailing edge, straight cut at the end. . Made the tail section just a little smaller, so it's not so pitchy at the high speeds. Flies like a dream, very stable. I used a Grayson Hobby 2217-06 motor at 1500KV on a 3s lipo with a 6x4 prop. I also only used one servo for the ailerons. Sitting upright, it controls both ailerons with just one servo. Lightened the payload a bit, and reduced cost.
