The Savage (TVS3)

Released as a single by The Shadows in 1961, 'The Savage' reached number 9 on the UK charts. It was also featured in the film 'The Young Ones', released in the same year. Here is my rendition using my Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster, TVS3 echo unit and Apple's 'Garage Band' sofware.

What gauge string do you use

Hi Alan,

At the time I made this video, I was using Ernie Ball Power Slinky (11-48) strings, but I substituted a wound 18 gauge third string for the unwound third that came with the set. On my later videos I switched to a D'Addario EXL 115W set (11-49) which includes a 21 gauge wound third string. Hope this info helps.
