This is a tutorial on how to make seamless tiles for grains and canvas in ArtRage or for use as wallpapers for your computer or website!

(EDIT) - I made this tutorial as a demonstration for someone at the ArtRage forums. Visit the following link if you'd like some extra tips, or if you'd like to download the texture I made in this video (it's in the 5th post down). Here's the link: http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13629

  • I've updated the video description to include a link to the ArtRage forum thread, which I made the video for. I posted the finished tile there for download. After 3 years, I'm surprised I still had it.

  • which is the best setting overall is it cell ? i think that cell looks nice but looks a bit fake, not so doodle'ee ! ;P

  • I don't know what you mean. Are you asking which paper grain is best for drawing on, or for using when creating a tile of your own?

  • which setting on paper

  • I recommend the "cell" preset so the paper grain won't interfere with the texture you're trying to create.
