Little Owl was never quite the same after this race. Only completed once from 4 starts the following season. He did win his first 2 races in 1982/83, including a match with Bregawn in the Tommy Whittle at Haydock, but was well beaten in the King George and injured himself in the Gainsborough Chase at Sandown. He ran in a couple of hunter chases in 1985, finishing 2nd in one, then was retired at the age of 11.

Oh it's the jockey on Night Nurse who should get the credit, What a ride, Apparently he can still do 17.5 stone wet through. Unsung hero ADB.
