Your retail experience at Best Buy sounds remarkably similar to my retail experience at Circuit City. It's amazing how quickly you realize that there is absolutely no correlation between computer knowledge and the ability to actually sell the things.

I remember my broken Packard Bell. *Click!*
Well they want you to recommend a computer you think is good, and if you don't think Packard Bell is good, then aren't you doing your job then? Before I can get a job at an apple store maybe I'd consider best buy, and I'd at least give people the RIGHT RAM AND GRAPHICS CARDS the FIRST time, and tell them the brands I recommend.
