With the great vast amounts of evidence we find in the Bible through archeology, why is there no evidence for anything writte in the Book of Mormon?

  • Cult followers are very difficult to get through to . They base beliefs on feelings not facts.

  • The Koran was supposedly dispensed unto Muhammad by an angel.

The Book of Mormon was supposedly dispensed unto J. Smith by an angel.

"If we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be anathema."

    -Apostle Paul, Galatians 1:8

I suppose Muhammad and Joseph Smith heedlessly bypassed this warning.

  • @GardiniaBloom - No problem at all. It's easy. None of their man-made oral traditions are true. I created a video dealing with this very subject. It is on my main channel. It's titled, "Traditions of the Church - Q&A. Is the Bible the final authority of God?"

  • The problem there is how are you determing what makes it "by inspiration of God". Second for those ancient churches like Roman and Orthodox, they insist that their traditions were passed down from the Apostles and therefore is as valid as Scripture and in fact just as necessary and they believe that they are what gives the Bible authoity anyway. If I didn't know any better already why should I believe Bible Christians, whos stance is based on the teachings of men as well, over an ancient church?

  • @GardiniaBloom - “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2 Peter 1:21

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” 2 Tim 3:16

Unless you want to tear away at the very fabric of GOD's word, no we don't follow man. A Bible Christian follows the teachings found in Scripture alone without condition.

  • @GardiniaBloom - Fantastic! Great to hear.

  • @bibleortraditions And I'm not an LDS by the way.

  • Thats not the definition of a cult and even it was that wouldn't rule out cults that do use the Bible for faith and practice. What baffles me is why so many Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox Christians actually don't think they follow men when they clearly do. Your religons are based on the writings of men who you depend on to interperate Scripture for you and if people don't agree then you condemn them by saying that you really follow the Bible when in fact you follow other mens interpretations

  • @AtlasUtai01 - I spent almost an hour one day speaking with a couple Mormons who stopped by my home. They admitted to me there were probably billions of gods, and that some day they would become a god. I am sorry; this is the most polytheistic religion in the world. Look at the verse from Scripture I posted. If I were you, I would pray and search Scripture. I would earnestly ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.

  • @AtlasUtai01 - A cult is defined as any religion that uses anything other than the Bible for faith and pracdtice. No, the book of Mormon is not inspired Scripture from God. It was the writings of a man from reformed Egyptian (whatever that is) written upon golden tablets. Investigate the character of the man Joseph Smith. It is no differnt that people who put their trust in a man they call the pope of "holy father".

  • @AtlasUtai01 - Blind faith is ignorant, especially when it comes to one's eternal destination. Faith in Christ Jesus is great, because He was not only a historical figure proven true by secular history, but confirmed by Bible prophecy.

"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." Isaiah 43:10

  • @bibleortraditions All you need is faith....no evidence needed...
