  • O uchi gari is not a backwards throw! you have to pull your oponent to the right and to the floor, so he can't lift his left leg. and your circle is neither good.

    realy bad OuchiGari

  • This is just my opinion but I think you should incorporate the kuzushi better in your drill. If you do an uchi komi like this against a decent opponent you are just begging to get countered with o uchi gaeshi or a pick up throw.

  • I love reading comments by folks who don't know what they are talking about . This is a very good drill for O uchi - Ko uchi . and both throws are "backward throws" . I love bjj always has good videos . Rey Garcia 1999 world masters lite Hvy champ

  • @bartcore87

If you look, he does actually pull the opponent to the right (note that, given direction, the uki would land closer to the bottom of the screen if he were thrown backwards)

  • Supposed to be ouchigari or major inner reap

  • @boredinho i do not know what the hell ur saying but you sound professional :D

  • This looks like Texas. Hitting a back dude with white belt!

  • sweap i thinki dont do much judo

  • what move is this called?

  • So long as they end up on their back, on the floor, and your still standing, it doesnt matter TOO much about the direction of kuzushi, BUT! it is true that its SUPPOSED to be a back anglar break of balance, not a directly straight backwards break.

  • You use your hands as if turning a big wheel. The idea is to force uke to place all his balance on the foot you are taking out. For example, right handed ko-uchi-gari you turn your hands clockwise - pulling down with the left and up with the right. Also, use your hips and turn your head in the direction of the throw.
