  • Thanks for the video, whas relly helpfull.

There's only 1 thing I'm not sure about, ... when your attaching the knob of brass to the piece of stainless, ... you are using a brass bar as filler?

Please tell me I'm right :p

I watched more than 10 times and still not shure if, the brass that you mensioned melting, is the bar (filler) or the knob.

    Again plz answer? Peace

  • @MrMinimalSWN its a brass rod with flux.. the knob never melts

  • I ejoyed your presentation and demo on brazing- you are a natural teacher and your self efacement is exemplary.Whatever you are showing works and i for one have learnt a lot. thanks.

  • @19asres thanks for the comment.

  • Man that's pretty to see it melt like that. This video was helpful, thanks. I am working on a big brass Lion head belt buckle, well it's a big brass Lions head and I am making it into a buckle. This helped, now I know I need a brazing rod. :O)

  • @Naddycat Thanks for the comment. brazing is fun and versatile.

  • @mystweave you're welcome thanks for the comment.

  • @spartaeus Very true, specially when using high strength (around 65000 PSI) brazing sticks (copper zinc). It's the better way to repair tubing if you do not know the alloy. And it's very strong. The Rickman frames for motorcycles were made with brazed Reynolds 531 tubing. Brazing may be also very useful for tooling making also like extensions for drill bits.

  • Neat little video! I looked at my program outline for university for my Welding (level c) and noticed I would be learning brazing aswell. I youtubed it and came up with your video, very clear, very informative, from a real person. Thank you very much Freddy. : ) Keep doing what your doing.
