Russia and Nato in deep-sea exercise - 2 July 2008

After months of warning against an expanding role for Nato, Russia has joined members of the alliance for the first time, in a deep-sea rescue exercise. The high-risk rescue operations are seen by some as a signal that Russia may be willing to co-operate with the alliance. From the North Sea off the Norwegian coastline, Hamish Macdonald reports.
