British Rail Class 20 Diesel locomotive no. 20118 (D8118) 'Saltburn-by-the-Sea' makes a very smokey start up scene at Buckfastleigh, on a cold November 7th 2009.

  • Awesome these old engines it's a pity everyone cares about emissions so much... would much rather see these tearing round the country side than the more modern electric horrors.

  • started up Class 20 )))

  • Fuck me!! Still, more efficient than a bus.

  • take that greenpeace

  • @maddogmcrae Personally I think the Class 20s are lovely looking locos but the yellow end with the black stripe across the windows is pretty ugly. (The railfreight with red stripe livery looks great from other angles though).

  • @maddogmcrae American locos are an engine with some tin foil over it!! At least we try to make ours presentable!

  • @silver760 1 million hours = approx. 114 years. ;-)

  • @1madaboutguitar It's the same with the buses. New ones are so boring and souless I loose interest. Give me a smokey mk1 National any day with that clattery 510.

  • At last theve fitted a class 20 with a steam engine!!
