George Michael, Paul Young, Elton John, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Dire Strait.

Hey! if we can solve any problem
Then why do we lose so many tears
Oh, and so you go again
When the leading man appears
Always the same thing
Can't you see,
we've got everything goin' on and on and on

Every time you go away,
you take a piece of me with you...
Every time you go away,
you take a piece of me with you...

Go on and go free, yeah
Maybe you're too close to see
I can feel your body move
It doesn't mean that much to me
I can't go on sayin' the same thing
Just can't you see,
we've got everything
baby even though you know
I can't go on sayin' the same thing
'Cause baby, can't you see,
we've got everything goin' on and on and on

  • what more can u ask for.. all star cast.. awesome performance guys!

  • All of God's Talent decended on that one stage that day! Wow.... its unbelievable to see these legends on one stage in sync.. what talent!

  • The guitarist is Eric Clapton

  • ok cool.. and thanks so much for the info! :)

  • It's a lovely rendition, but they did drag it out a bit, considering...! XD Anyway, I'll upload the trimmed bits if I can.

  • The thing is, Paul Young had performed the song by himself only a few numbers before! Right before this song started, Elton John announced "a late arrival" and then introduced George and Paul. George apologized, saying something like, "You've heard this one already tonight, but I wasn't expecting to come on, and it's the only one we both know."

  • This duet is from the Prince's Trust concert in 1986. This particular footage seems to be from some kind of "best of" compilation edit (there's a bit of the logo at the very beginning). I have a video of some of these performances as broadcast on KCET several years ago, and my copy is a little different.

  • yeah i think it is, i can see Mark Knoffler on guitar :P

  • Is this from Live Aid? It would be the right time period.
