Is it true- Is the remastering just a dynamically compressed version of the original?? I was hoping they'd just cleaned up the original analogue tapes and transferred them with better equipment.

Oh fuck yeah, those tracks needed remaster so much :] Now its quite good.

@leisurelydinner As for the people that praise the sound quality in the remasters, they're praising what was already there. Except it's louder, so more compressed.

@leisurelydinner Stick to the original. They used the same sources on the remaster, and didn't clean it up really. Just added lots of digital compression and I think some EQ stuff, from what I've read.The original's better.
