West Side Y Kids Shine: Winter's Eve at Lincoln Center NYC 11-28-11

One of New York City's newest performing arts company, Kids Company provides young people of all backgrounds and experience levels the opportunity to work with industry musical theater professionals. Kids Company is made up of children and teens ages 6 through 14 .

Last week I caught their performance of "We'll Get a New Deal for Christmas", fresh from their latest production of "Annie."

The kids performed in the lobby of the neighborhood West Elm Store on Broadway (a very tight and highly trafficked space). It was part of the annual WINTER'S EVE AT LINCOLN SQUARE festival at Lincoln Center. They really rocked it -- under difficult circumstances that would have challenged even the most seasoned Broadway performers. Congratulations to all! Who knows...Someday we may see some of those faces on the Great White Way.
