Songs of the World Concert
It sounds nasally because if you hear the song from Serbia that is how they sing. We wanted it to sound authentic.

Lyrics:(First part of the verse is in Serbian and the Gyspy language in Serbia and the second is in English)

Serbian:
"Niska Banja topla voda
za Nislije ziva zgoda"
At Niška Banja's warm water,
For young men from Niš is great

Serbian:
"Nislijke su fine dame
ne setaju nikad same"
The women from Nis, are fine ladies
they never walk alone...

Gipsy:
"Em ka lavlam, em kamavla,
And'o Niši ka mekav la"
I will get her, I will love her,
And in Nis I will leave her

Gipsy:
"Duj, duj, dešuduj
Cumidav la chaie and'o muj"
Two, two, twelve,
I'll kiss her on the face.

*Thanks to Puppeter for the translation*

  • niska banja is in serbia

it was bombed by USA and GB 1999.

  • this song isn't made to be sung like most choir songs. It's supposed to sound forward and nasally. You can tell they're doing this on purpose because of their techniques and cut-offs.

  • @jerseygirl049 This is how the song is supposed to be sung. It was hard to do because we're always taught to sing with our mouths open and wide vowels. This is was a very serious choir. When we sang foreign songs we did our best to sing them as they were meant to be sung.

  • @XxsarahbbyxX It's supposed to be like that. It's a different language..
