Gary's solos are amazing. Some of his licks are perfectly added & are very quick + technically difficult. I think all real guitar players should learn them! I love blues & I don't give a shit if there's much distortion or not, it all about feel, melody & technique!

GM fans just killed my comment :-)
Hey guys, i like Gary, and i like his album called "Blues For Greeny". But in this video Gary is playing hard rock, heavy style guitar solo, believe it or not, it's true. On the CD "Blues For Greeny" you can hear real blues from Gary Moore, maybe real white blues, no hard&heavy solos.

Albert took it to a new level.
SRV and GM are a few that understood that.
T-Bone, Jimmy R, Elmore J were ahead, until Albert came :) RIP big bro

you're right, it's not really blues. too much distortion on the guitar.

Gary -- it's pure tone and passion that powers that sound... love it!

1st, albert is pretty old in this clip, listen to his stax recordings (cold feet, personal manager, born under a bad sign, and the live-wire album) for some examples of the man in his prime. 'Blues power' is 1 up on youtube. 2nd, his bending, phrasing, tone and feel are phenomenal. They might sound cliched and obvious now, but that's because everybody and their mother copied albert. It's not an overstatement to say that rock lead guitar would be pretty unrecognizable without albert's influence.
