nanoPAD improvisation inspired by klezmer. I assigned the pads to a scale like a kind of klezmer, and I used a kind of Pythagorean temperament. This sound was synthesized by ES2 software synthesizer (which Logic Express 8 contains). X-Y PAD is used as...X: "Pitch Bend"/ Y: "Detune","Resonance", and "Cutoff".

  • @knowsur There are only bend UP? Can't you use bend DOWN?

  • @MaiconOX I used bend down at 1:13.

  • I'm also planning to get one of those, or even two, as when you place them side by side (one upside down like yours), you have 2x12 keys, and that's already almost in the range of playing professionally.

Or I might get four of them, or even six, only a pity that they aren't wider (my dream would be 32x8 keys in total), but still their layout is far better than all the 4x4 competition.

My question is about the sensitivity of the keys: How good is it, and can you turn it down VERY low?

  • I am satisfied with the sensitivity. I can turn it down very low. I can control velocity easily than I use a normal MIDI keyboard.

  • I am torn between the nanoPad and PadKontrol (the bigger brother @ twice the price), any advice please?

  • I think as below. They are mainly different in weight, I think.

So, when you use one on your hand as if you wear it, you should adopt nanoPAD.

When you use one on your desk as if you play percussion, you should adopt PadKontrol.

  • Did Korg ever get past over the high failure rate on the NanoPads?

  • Dude this is awesome. Love the scale you're using

  • @moleculeColony Hello everyone! Who can help me? .. I just bought the Korg nanoPAD, a USB controller, but are not able to assign a sound effect, etc. for each button .. how the hell do I do? I downloaded the software which in practice should allow you to use this controller (Korg Kontrol Editor), I tried to answer (but I found only tutorial in English that explain just how to give effect to the sounds, but not assigned to each key) I do not understand nothing... thanks again! Adrian
