At the ending of the film shows the scenes of Stogumber Station and its gardens, this is a memorial to Iris Horn, a WSR volunteer and a good friend, who passed away on September 21st at the age of 92. Iris volunteered to help run and maintain Stogumber Station after the line was reopened in 1976.
With her husband Harry, Iris looked after the station for many years, and she continued as Station Master following the death of Harry in 2000. She was recently awarded the MBE in the Queen's Honours List for voluntary services to the rail industry in Somerset. Iris will be forever be remembered for her dedication and hard work in maintaining the ideallic station and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Another excellent compilations of shots Rys, and you've chosen superb locations and worked hard to get to them all. I was shocked to see your wonderful tribute to the late Iris Horn MBE, she was a lovely lady and will be sadly missed at Stogumber after all these years...5* Bob

Iris was indeed a wonderfull woman of whom I used to know when I was very little, going back all those years. Last time seeing her was March this year and wanted to make this final gala film in honor of her.
