Starship HMS Daring Under Construction, Sea Trials and Guided Tour of the Ship (Kieran Griffith)

I am an Irish Nationalist so I have some discomfort admiring the british armed forces but I do admire magnificent naval engineering achievements of humanity. This is three movies edited together with the soundtrack from Star Trek Voyager that gives a feeling for just how high-tech the HMS Daring actually is (There is a 1/72 scale model of the HMS Daring available from Fleetscale Models soon that looks like it would be magnificent if you had the space to build it. But in 1/72 scale a Type-45 destroyer is 212CM long!).

@transonicbuoy1 Great, rub it in, the only thing I can be proud about my Gallic is that I am ashamed enough not to be able to speak it. Still polish and Nigerian kids in Irish schools are better at speaking the local language in schools then the ones with Irish ancestry so the language is only getting stronger. Everyone needs to learn it. I just went to school in the UK and USA, and I am too old to learn a new language.

Even with Sea Viper this is a big ship without much in the way of weaponry.

Now that the MoD has announced that Sea Viper will be delayed for quote "years" it seems the starship Enterprise is an unarmed floating white elephant.

Someone appears to have neglected to inform the British that warships are supposed to have weapons.
