A world of thanks to a MAJOR inspiration ...David "Panama" Francis
Sorry, on this clip the sound engineering wasn't particullarly suited for subtle brush work. The snare drum gets a bit lost.

The local D.C. guitarist who influenced Kenny to no small degree was the great Bill Harris. Check out his early solo guitar work in particular.

Sorry about the quality of the picture. I had these tranfered from a VHS to DVD, in October. I half figured out how to edit VOB files into clips, but don't know what's really best to choose for resolution and compression, to get the best upload qualtiies for youtube playback. They look and sound crystal clear playing from the DVD. This club invested half-a-million in state-of-the-art video and audio equipment(circa 1996)...then went out within 2 years! In business, location is everything.

I'm impressed. Great jazz playing, can't tell if it's a L-4 or ES-175--video is distorted. Great keyboardist, drums, bass too. I'm a Texas musician checking out your blues videos and ran into this--it's mighty fine. Howard Roberts, Herb Ellis, Wes, Grant Green, and Hank Garland are my heros.
