You dont teach children to swim cuz they have a natural gift or they dont get scared so they dont drown so pleas stop lying that u teach children this age are learning to swim
NEVER EVER LEAVE ANY CHILD UNATTENDED FOR ANY REASON AROUND A POOL! NOT EVEN FOR A MOMENT! PLEASE! GOOD PARENTAL SUPERVISION IS WHAT SAVES LIVES! There are countless fatal scenarios that can happen. Competent adult swimmers drown. Teach your toddler to swim because it's a great life skill but remember he or she is a toddler. I know my little girl was under constant supervision. Could she have saved herself? Probably, but I'll never know.
Teaching children to swim is awesome. My 13 year was confident in the water by 6 months & swimming lengths, doing all 4 strokes & racing dives by the age of 3. She was going off the high dive at 4 and the high platform at 5. She attracted major attention at any public pool she went to & guards allowed her to break height restriction rules because of her competence. Saying that, a toddler's skill at swimming is no substitute for good parental supervision.
