Some video of my fids hanging out in the bird room. I was happy to see the Nanday starting to play and forage. We adopted her (and 6 others in the video) from The Gabriel Foundation, and for the first 6 months, all she seemed to do was just sit on her perch. Now she explores, plays, and tears things up! Stinker (Gold Capped) is still demonstrating perseverative-type behaviors (rocking, yelling), but with time this will change. Our concept for the bird room is that it really functions as one big cage, where everyone is free to come and go from their cages where they have food, water, more toys, and hiding places for naps. For safety issues, some may have restricted access to the larger bird room when we are not home to supervise. Both the Cherry Head and one of the Gold Capped conures are physically handicapped, but they do just fine. Everyone's vocal chords are intact! Life with Aratingas! :-)

  • Very nice do you let them be out all the time in the room or just when you are with them?

  • The bird room was designed so my birds can fly, forage, and explore freely during the day. They are also allowed to fly about the house- but only with supervision, when I am present. Thanks for your interest!

  • So how do you stop them from destroying the walls? My bird ignores the toys and immediately goes after anything she shouldn't!

  • Wow... there are so many questions I would want to ask you first before attempting a reply. Email me if you want and we can try to figure it out. Thanks!

  • Wowi wish that room was in my house but i think with that many birds ill never get sleep again

  • Do they get territorial over cages? Like if one bird went into another's "home", do they get upset?

  • @warofthewalruses oh... sorry... it was a little dark for me to precieve colors, and it sounded like one...

  • @AirsoftParrot - There is a wood floor, and we make sure that we wash it regularly. If you "spot clean" daily, it really doesn't get that bad.

  • @warofthewalruses - Sorry it took me so long to respond. No, they are not sun conures. They are Gold Capped Conures. Sun Conures are much brighter in coloring. But Conures (though loud) are amazing parrots!

  • @dollydancing are those sun conures?

  • حلووه مرره الله يخليها لك/ي

  • how many birds are there

  • you must really love birds, theyre beautiful,i like birds too.i have a sun and a jenday conure.
