tactically, Tibet is just important to china. For every country, nothing can be more important than its own interests. So I don't deny what you say.
But now we are talking about the Chinese people's attitudes towards Tibet&Tibetans, which is pretty respectful. No or at most little discrimination in China.

Yes, you are right that any govt. in the world do not condone violence esp. burning and looting and they should be punished for the crime committed. On the other hand, let's pause and think on historical events, whether the chinese govt. had acted wisely by invading Tibet in the first place? Forget about the Yuan and Qing Dynasties things..that is not proof enough to substantiate most of the chinese's claims.
