Beija-flor-do-papo-verde ou Beija-flor-de-garganta-verde /Glittering-throated Emerald (Amazilia fimbriata)

Este beija-flor assemelha-se muito ao A.lactea pelo tamanho e colorido geral, diferindo pela cor da garganta e do peito.
Nidificação: o ninho, em forma de tigela, é confeccionado com delicadas fibras vegetais, adornado externamente com liquens.
Habitat: florestas, capoeiras, regiões litorâneas e jardins.
Tamanho: 9,5 cm.

The males have the throat a "glittering" green while the females have a white stripe up the middle of the throat.
The Glittering-throated Emerald is found in a wide variety of open and semi-open habitats including gardens but it is not found in the interiors of forests.
