  • @adamV5 was it because of the theme for each show beacuse tht would be sweet

  • @Th3Juic3

Umm yeah that's not the way it goes. Eddie or Benoit didn't exactly bring up a huge boost in buys and ratings either so does that mean their reigns should have been cut to one month? When building someone you do your best to MAKE fans care not just pul the rug under him after one month? If it was two or three months into his reign and he wasn't a success then it'd be considered a failure but the guy barely even had time to to crap with the title.

  • @Chryogenos But the few hardcore fans that wanted him to win were vastly outweighed the majority of smarks that didn't want him to win..I was hardly a smark back then and I even knew it felt out of place like he wasn't ready. Think this was the same year Gail Kim debuted and won the Woman's Title on her first night, different situation yes, but same feeling of uneasiness..when she dropped the belt to Molly Holly everything felt right again - same situation when HHH took back the belt.

  • @Th3Juic3 not really, alot of hardcore fans wanted him to win, including me

  • @BJgrand Think it this way: WWE tries to build someone (Randy Orton). He becomes a world champion but nobody gives a shit. Ratings go down. Understand?

  • @Th3Juic3

What does being face of the PPV have to do with anything? I'm not one of those typical HHH haetrs, but HHH completely killed any momentum Orton had and would go on to continually beat orton in the next few months. Orton should have gotten one win, instead he got a shit one month reign and a bland face run.

  • @BJgrand Actually fans wanted him to lose. He was just a kid - not the face of WWE.

  • 2004

    the year that never happened

  • i wish Smackdown could of had Unforgiven instead of RAW

and RAW Could have no mercy but that's life

  • @kefkaroth yeah
