One Small Step, One More Step 10th July 2011 -part 3 Magicaboola performance

Magicaboola perform at Bridging the Gap, One Small Step, One More Step event. They provided amazing entertainment in between performances of a new piece of work 'One Small Step, One More Step' commissioned originally by rednile projects as part of their Factory Nights New commission/New collaborations programme, back in Nov 2009. http://www.rednile.org/factorynights_ncnc.htm
Choreographer Dora Frankel, artist Sam Goodlet and composer Peter Coyte used rednile's bursary to raise more funds to produce a whole evening event set at the iconic Apollo Pavilion in Peterlee. They created two interlocking and lighthearted pieces which recall the energy of the 1960's space programme, when the pavilion was built, as well as the era's naivety and failures. They also teamed up with the Apollo Pavilion Community Association and Durham Brass international festival to include performances by GT Brass Band Peterlee and Magicaboola. There were also dance performances by local young people and solos by violinist Emma Fisk.
