A violinist has broken the record for the fastest performance of the Flight of the Bumblebee.
Oliver Lewis managed to play the piece in one minute and 3.356 seconds.

Speed does not win out over musicality. Very sloppy playing, with many missed notes, contrary to the judge's comments.

The judges determined he did it "without error" really? I heard a lot of notes that were not on target and were flat.

Actually, it could have been wayyyyyy better. Even at this speed, it could sound much cleaner, and a little less staccato would've helped a ton.

Yes, it could have been slightly better (apparently, I can't play violin), however, at this speed it is never going to sound particularly good!
