My barred rock bantam is sitting on 4 eggs. 2 are from her, 1 is from a golden sebright, and the other is from my belgian d'anver. My rooster is a slpash silkie. I can't wait to see how the chicks turn out.

I heard of one other person on a forum whose black australorps go broody, too. I don't think it's too common but not impossible, either.

Yes, she is very friendly to me. Some of the others would peck me. She's a sweet hen. She might peck at a stranger, though but the coop is off limits to everyone right now (except me).
