Reformatted my hard drive and lost some outlook express data, e-mails, etc - Help please?

I had too much junk collected on my hard drive and I bought an external hard drive to shift the files. I shifted all of them and I hope I did not miss any. Now, I use both Outlook Express of the Office Programme and also Microsoft outlook. I have lost the old emails, data in the Task file which was very useful collection of telephone numbers and other details. I might have this folder some where in my collected files and folders on my external hard drive but I am not an expert. An old man just preaching Gospel.

I dont think this is something new. I actually learnt this long time ago when i saw first video from this ID. Sorry, but this is messed up but it is very old system and is messed up because this is probabily mishandelled too much.

Thank you. Does Outlook express keep a copy on the server please? Now, I am finding difficulty in uploading drivers and softwares. Any expertise on that please?
