It's become my favorite love story movie. It isn't necessarily just a lesbian movie. This could happen to any two people: two women, two men, or a man and a woman. It's a love story that happens to have a lesbian theme. I could see this movie going mainstream. "The Kids are All Right" did. It would have to be rated NC-17, though.

@Mimiiii6 It's a happy ending. Spoiler alert! Peyton misjudges Elena & what she did between their break-up & when they ran into each other again. Elena had to separate from Barry & get a divorce. Nash was not okay with his mom's relationship with Peyton so they had to work that out. The whole time they were apart, Elena was working her way back to Peyton so they could really be together. They get back together and have a beautiful baby girl. Watch the last scene. There's a book, too.
