Rubato is a musical term meaning a tempo not in strict rhythm. A performer, when performing rubato, will speed up or slow down as he or she sees fit.

It would be impossible to improve on this version of this beautiful and touching song. Judy Collins' voice is the purest crystal. Especially love the way she underplays the rubatos and how delicately she sings the most emotional moments.
