I know speaking properly has nothing to do with an accent, but they're some people with British accents who do talk very clearly and pronounce their words properly. Okay, no offense, but I'm guessing to get into Princeton, you have to have a great amount of knowlegde. Yes, George Bush got accepted into Yale...and now he's President of the United States. Anyway, I don't think she sounds English at all, but that's just my opinion. Some people may think otherwise.

And George Bush got accepted into Yale, not saying that Kate Bosworth is dumb, but Ivy League credentials don't necessarily mean smart. Speaking properly doesn't have to do with accent. A person from Canada can speak just as well as a person from Australia. And she does sound pretentious because as mentioned below, she only spent a few months in New Zealand. That is not enough time to pick up an accent. I know this because my cousin spent 4 years in England, and came back sounding just as he did

It sounds more like she's just talking properly. When you talk correctly it can sound more British. Kate Bosworth is very smart, I mean, she did get accepted to Princeton.

i think people are forgetting that she was girlfriend to orlando bloom for a long period of time and she now has another british boyfriend...everyone knows that one can get accustomed to speaking a certain way very quickly - it's a psychological thing and i truly believe that she's not purposely speaking in a british accent - give her a break
