I absolutely adore Pet Shop Boys and have loved this version of this song since I first bought the Alternative CD, seemingly a million years ago. Sometimes, a song perfectly fits your mood and for the first time ever, this one does tonight. Wow.

Excruciatingly bad. He doesn't really get the song which needs a lightness to offset the sentimentality. She's a deseuse, don't forget, a showgirl and has to entertain even in expressing her poignancy. The introduction tells you that. Such an amateur, shoddy production, and that melissma, mon dieu! Atrrocious! A primer of bad taste all around.

I have listened to the studio track for many times and I am very sure that Neil was lip-synching in this video. Neil had said some years ago that he was "shamelessly doing the lip-sync" and as a PSB fan, I respect his decision though I support live!
