We need faith in our ancient nation's right to be free.

We recall the deeds of the brave volunteers who fought and trained with MAC and Cayo in the Free Wales Army. We remember with pride and passion the mission of Meibion Glyndwr.

i definitely think wales would be able to manage if it got independence there are smaller countries in europe that seem to manage ! so why couldn't Wales ? are we to stupid to handle our own affairs ? we could subsidise our economy by charging the british government for useing the military firing ranges and missile ranges or charge for the water they use from reservoirs in Wales and by taxing english people who own holiday homes in Wales !

I think it would be a good thing for Wales to be independent, as England has run the country into the ground (the UK that is). We would have to make sure we left the EU though. They would only push us around and force us to abide by their lax immigration laws and regulations.

@grandslam1998 :) i honestly think anyside of this argument has valid points especially as its multi faceted,but some people reckon the end of the state in its current form (whatever that may be) could be ending.Due mainly to science and technological advances...some ppl think the world lags behind science discoveries..interesting thought, the only thing that makes me doubt these changes in next 20 years is countries that lag behind like sudan, china, n korea (even vast swaths of US to be fair)

@3tangle3 I like you want what is best for the people. I have travelled to over 50 coutries and know that the UK with all its problems is a good place to live . Like it or not nation states are here to stay. I am an International socialist and as I have said the coming together of nations is a good thing esp if they do what is best for the many and not the few. Yes many people in power are shits and self seeking but is up to the people to vote them out. Politics is a dirty game

@grandslam1998 to be clear that i am some narrow minded 'nationalist'....unionists themselves should recognise they are nationalists..I dont even care about a welsh state as there would be shits there aswell...just want progressive tolerant world....where there is mutual repsect of people and local areas have some democratic voice...westminister is not this and neither is washington...and neither is paris who still trying to suppress local variety such as basques and bretons...list goes on
