I saw this car in person at the 2008 Cavallino Classic in Florida; absolutely GORGEOUS car! Even more beautiful the the earlier GTO's from 1962-1963. Some people may also notice subtle differences in the 1964 bodies, such as hood scoops and changes in the roofline that other Series II GTO's don't have.

I did as you suggested and found out that 4 of the original 32 '62 style cars were rebodied in the series 2 '64 Pininfarina style making a total of 7 including the 3 original '64s. There are 28 left in the '62 style, 1 250GTO LMB and 3 330 GTOs. Total = 39.

Thanks BB512i. Very interesting. So are there 4 GTO's with the '64 body then as there were 3 original '64 GTO's made in this style or were more converted? Was it rebodied as a result of an accident? This is my favorite style of GTO.

@ilikefish54 Actually they didn't make hundreds, only 36 orignal 250GTO were made from 1962-1963 and a few more in 1964 having a total of 39 original GTOs.

@boxer365 - Technicallly it's a 1962 #3413, with a factory rebody of the later series II. You can read about this car online. Just type in the s/n and do a search.
