Isn't negative pressure better for case cooling? Or is it case specific? I'd like to hear your opinion. I would think an equilibrium would be best. Do a demonstration on how to test what is best. Thanx Gameman

  • oh good i have 5 intake (including the PSU) and 2 exhaust

  • I prefer negative pressure, in positive pressure the warm air cannot escape as fast. In negative pressure cool air is being forced in from every possible hole.

Although you make a good point about the dust i have always had better cooling with negative.

  • Would be a pain to setup positive pressure on a HAF 932. So I just settle for strong negative pressure. Total intake 701.92 C.F.M., Total exhaust 963.84 C.F.M. Have to clean frequently, but worth it for the low temps (Being in the Southwest, with no central AC, this amount of airflow is a must)

  • I sealed all the gaps and have2x20cm + 1x180 intake on side feont and bottom.. 2x20cm top exhaust and rear 180exhaust.

    Love the thermaltake chaser.

  • I always wondered why old Dells were so dusty.

  • the best way to do this is to have SLIGHT positive pressure. that way, the airflow is mostly balanced between intake and exhaust, while that little bit extra keeps the dust out.

  • cant answer this question as it depends on your setup, for me im better with negative.

  • what about 3 intake and 3 exhaust?

  • You guys can pick sides all you want, but everything you say can be null and void from one example to the next. It is all dependent on the design of the case. For example, I have a Silverstone RV02, and the positive air pressure design of this case is much more effective than the positive air pressure system of a normal tower might be because the RV02 doesn't have any areas where heat can build up.

  • @greyfoxzero Yes. I don't know why he didn't mention it though.

  • Is there such thing as neutral cooling? I mean the same pull as push?

  • The thing is, My case is about 65% mesh. Would there be too many holes for positive airflow?
