Legend of Legaia (Low Level): Xain

The sixth video of a Legend of Legaia Low Level Game. We fight Xain.

Levels:
Vahn - 8 (6250 exp)
Noa - 9 (6946 exp)
Gala - 8 (7000 exp)

I've got a bit to say here:

First, from here on I'll have the videos sped up x2. This is because the fights will be summon-intensive. The summon animations are fairly long and thus they themselves take up much of the fight's duration.

Second, with our arrival to Vidna we have an unlimited source of income. This is the slot machines and fishing. To buy items using coins/fishing points and sell for gold. It's a bit far-fetched to say I actually upped my gold quantity this legit way. As with leveling our Seru to 9, I also just hacked in a large sum of gold. This is because it is actually possible in this low level game, and not astronomically improbable, but rather only time-consuming.

Third, speaking of our Seru being level 9, as I'm playing I'm seeing how it really doesn't matter that they are high-leveled. They do more damage, sure, but honestly it just makes the fight shorter - not necessarily easier. Besides more damage, Seru also have effects like 'reduce speed 20%.' As I'm playing through this low level game, I see these effects aren't needed, so again our Seru being level 9 only makes the fight shorter, not necessarily easier.

I'm also surprised you didn't use Nighto -- Xain can at least be confused by it (not sure if he can be killed). Confusing him probably wouldn't help much though.

I tried Nighto, but I kept getting "No Effect." Though if he can be confused, then, yeah, that could help out some. Have Noa use Nighto, he's confused, skips his turn, then Vahn and Gala attack.

But how did you manage to lvl up your seru to lvl 9?? that would take a lot of patience. is this gameshark or something??

i was 20 lvl with all my chars when i fought with xain :DDDD

Oh dear lorgd, I remember this battle. Frickin' sweet. Graphics still don't get to me.
