SOCIAL SECURITY.
MEDICARE.
MEDICAID.
The Republicans want to kill these. But look at what the people say! Look at the JANE CORWIN go down in flames, in New York's 26th SUPER CONSERVATIVE House race where a DEMOCRAT, Kathy Hochul just DESTROYED the "KILL MEDICARE" candidate, Jane "I HATE SENIORS" Corwin.
The Teaheads and Republicans are TOAST. EVERY REPUBLICAN IN CONGRESS except for 4, VOTED TO KILL MEDICARE. They will be all OUT, come 2012. Can't wait for it to begin.
Nuff said.

@mouse9111 Nope. Obama is opposed to single-payer because he is a corporate prick.

I am a proud democratic socialist!

Seriously why doesn't the democratic socialist party join with the regular Socialist party.

Thanks for posting this. It's very revealing of our disgusting, despicable, pay-or-die, criminal-run health racket system.

is this what Obama was trying to fix ?

@Uptix926 Ok buddy in 2012 or 2014 that card you'll get, it will only be your decision & your decision alone to get medicine the way you please. No ones going to force you to go to the hospital or force you to make choices of what help you need, they'll just be waiting patiently for you & what type of help you'll need.

If your on state run low income insurance, you are now elegible for the federal government plan and can get lower rates than previously. The power of the health care bill is already in effect. Please check into it if your in need of lower cost heath care. Keep pushing for changes for single payer and we will all be better off. Its your right as an American to vote for people who take your intrests over the insurance companies.
For single-payer advocates, a very powerful argument is that, while the individual mandate to purchase private health insurance is unconstitutional, Congress can lawfully tax to support a government financed health insurance program. Article I empowers Congress to use its taxing powers in support of government programs that foster the public welfare; this is the constitutional authority for Social Security and Medicare.

The US healthcare system is an absolute emberassment. Single payer is the way to go! Medicare for all is the best way to achieve that.
