my friends got a prs like that their great guitars i wish i had one. QUESTION: if i had the choice between a prs like that and a gibbson SG which should i choose.

@pophaterrocklover43 ... Price is a huge factor - A standard SG costs around $1000, a standard Custom 24 (not the SE model) costs around $2600-3000. Both have set-in necks as opposed to bolted on necks (better IMO for sustain), both have two humbucking pickups. I prefer the PRS for a few reasons more versatile use of pickups (5 way switch, instead of 3); beautiful to look at (love the carved and flamed top and bird inlays); tremolo bar; locking tuners; generally more attention to detail.

@pophaterrocklover43 ... part two (I ran out of space)... I wouldn't dismiss the SG as an option. I think the Standard SG is a fantastic value, and much better geared for people that can't justify spending almost $3k on a guitar. Both guitars play very nicely. Obviously Les Pauls and Strats are the most popular, but the SG is definitely one of the most iconic classic rock guitars, thanks in part to Angus Young (Eric Clapton played one in Cream too). Rock on and good luck! :)
